NEW REGISTRATION HOURS FOR RSD SCHOOLS

NEW ORLEANS, LA - Beginning Monday, October 16, 2006,

Registration hours for schools in the Recovery School District (RSD) will be 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays at the district's Central Office at 1641 Poland Ave.

Parents still seeking to register children for RSD schools must do so at the central office. They should bring proof of address (such as a telephone or utility bill), their child's Social Security card, birth certificate, immunization record and Individualized Education Program, if applicable.

RSD schools are open-access to students across the city, and none have admission criteria. The RSD provides transportation for students living more than one mile from their campus.
